Description After coup d’etat in Colombia, the French Guiana based
Foreign Legion is sent to restore order in the country.
Setting Colombia, Latin America, or Gulf War 1 (Operation:Left Hook)
Design Goals
• Recreate the experience of one of the world's most elite special forces – The French
Foreign Legion!
• Create an action game which is unique enough to interest players but familiar enough
to have mass-market appeal.
• Couple 3rd person action gameplay with cinematic action moves to create a more
immersive and intuitive military combat experience.
• Make the player feel like a badass, resourceful, action hero who is a member of an
elite team facing impossible odds. Accomplish this goal by allowing the player to
perform incredible feats of strength and agility.

Gear, vehicles, weaponry
To dramatically increase mission effectiveness the player will be able to use the latest military
equipment. Marking targets with the laser tagger, using GPS to track his position, tracking
heat signatures via army satellites will take the experience to a new level.
Driving any of the vehicles the player encounters ranging from APCs to taxis will further
enhance the richness of gameplay allowing the player to deal with challenges in different
ways.
The full range of foreign legion arsenal is at his disposal including the trusty FAMAS rifle
updated with the latest FELIN remote viewing and augmented reality system.
Extensive combat training
The reality is that life in the Legion is a harsh and brutal training regime, deliberately
designed to be so tough that even sworn enemies are compelled to join forces and work
together in order to endure it. The player will endure extensive combat training like any true
legionnaire. To make them gel as a fighting unit they are forced to accept a new way of life,
one of extreme discipline, requiring both physical and mental fortitude. A legionnaire lays
down his life for France and France gives him a new life.
Combat experience
The player will experience the reality of harsh and unforgiving combat endured by
legionnaires. Every mission is sacred and will be accomplished to the end at all costs. As the
legion never weeps for its dead but rather avenges them the player will have no time too look
back. The dense war atmosphere is so intense and brutal that even the toughest men will
sometimes fail.
Rich and diverse environments
The game will take the player through a wide variety of unprecedentedly detailed and
gripping environments. Through dense rain forests, over mountains to fortified haciendas and
urban settings.
All environments in the game are fully dynamic and destructible ensuring the player
will appreciate the firepower at his disposal.
Action moves
The game will feature a navigational mechanic that makes the player feel like an action hero
realistically navigating the world. This will add a new layer of immersive interactivity and
strategic decision-making to the traditional shooter by allowing the player to intuitively and
realistically interact with the world around them.
Along with the usual jumping, crouching, using switches of various types, and shooting
destructible objects that are expected of FPS gameplay, the player and their foes can engage
in many additional, more dynamic feats such as:
• Melee combat
• Using various objects and buildings as cover
• Firing from cover using remote sighting
• Combo moves (rolls, dives, etc.)
• Vault over objects (tables, cars, fences etc.)
• Jump through windows, roofs etc. breaking them in the process
Squad
A very important dimension of squad mates is giving the player situation awareness
information, building tension and advancing the story. Squad mates will talk to the player,
informing him of enemies, events, and dangers in a level. Additionally, they will comment on
actions and events, building emotions and tension.
The player will control the squad via an intuitive point-and-command system.
Cooperative
The player will be able to play the full game in cooperative mode with friends taking the
position of squad mates. They will have to watch each other’s back like true legionnaires or
they will not be able to complete the missions. Teamwork is key to success.
Camera
The camera is extremely important in this game. The leitmotif is documentary, fully
immersed, handheld camera that follows the player intuitively.
